About Brendan Coen

I'm Brendan Coen, owner and technician at CoEntropy.net. I've lived and worked in Sonoma County for most of my life, and I started CoEntropy.net because I saw how much frustration people experience when technology doesn't work — and how hard it is to find help that's patient, honest, and doesn't talk down to you.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Sonoma State University and have kept one foot firmly in the tech world throughout my career. I've recently earned CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications — industry-standard credentials that demonstrate professional-level knowledge in cybersecurity and networking, the same certifications required by IT departments and U.S. government agencies.

Before launching CoEntropy.net, I spent 20 years as a real estate broker — which means I know how to work with people, explain complex things clearly, and show up when I say I will. Those skills matter just as much in tech support as anywhere else.

When I'm not solving tech problems, you'll find me on the trails or running marathons.
